The Hutt Winter Festival is an arts festival championing the creativity of local Hutt-based artists and groups. The programme features music, theatre, dance, public art, visual arts, workshops and more – an eruption of colourful art activity to brighten up all corners of Lower Hutt.

Date for workshops: Saturday 17 August 2019
- Time: Between 2 – 6.30 pm
- Venue: Lower Hutt Event Centre, Laings Road, Lower Hutt
The workshop / activity will be part of the festival final day on Saturday 17 August
Artist fee: $250 gross (exc GST) to run a 4 hour workshop (including materials, but this could be negotiated)
Your workshop will be: drop in, open to all, ideally go for the full 4 hours (you could break it up into four 1 hour workshop/activity, or two 2 hour workshops etc), family friendly, fun!
What can you offer?
Puppet making / Lantern-making / Mask-making / Visual arts / Weaving / raranga / Music / Drama / Tāniko / Percussion instrument making and playing / Other?

How To Write An Album
How to Write An Album is an interactive musical performance where the audience collaborates with a 5 piece rock band to write an album of songs over the duration of the festival.
Eco Ethical + Upcycled Fashion Runway
A real spectacle for opening night, this event features local, national and international designers. Local participants can also audition to walk the runway in the eco-friendly creations.
The popular Puppet Parade is back! Community Groups create and build their own inventive puppet, to be displayed and marched with pride during the Final Festivities weekend.
Original art, design and craft objects will be for sale during the Final Festivities.
