Illuminated Bike Parade

A parade of fantastic, illuminated bicycle floats and bicycles carrying hand made lanterns lit with LEDs and bicycle lights will cycle around Riddiford Gardens to Dowse Square on Saturday 18 August, the final night of the festival. The public are invited to decorate their own wheels and take part in the illuminated night parade. Get your wheels ready by taking part in a Bike Illuminating Workshop, or download a toolkit and watch the how-to videos on the resources page.

We’ll be assembling at 5.30PM at the Cenotaph outside the Lower Hutt War Memorial Library. Bring your illuminated wheels of wonder and join the parade.

The parade starts at 6PM and will roll through Riddiford Garden to Dowse Square. Accompanied by the Swing Gigilos, this will be an awesome spectacle and anyone is welcome to join in or follow along and watch the show!
